Arnica

Arnica

Arnica (Latin name Arnica montana) is widely used as a medicinal remedy to prevent hair loss and promote hair growth. It is a herbaceous plant with yellow or orange flowers, similar to a daisy. Arnica montana is often also called Mountain Arnica, in Bulgaria it grows in the mountains at altitudes of around 1400m.

Arnica root contains Thymol - an effective vasodilator of subcutaneous blood capillaries which works by relaxing tension in the vascular system often caused by stress and anxiety. This allows better blood supply and therefore nourishment to the hair, preventing it from falling out prematurely and supporting strong and healthy regrowth. Arnica can also prevent premature greying of the hair.
